Waiting and Waiting - little stinker of grand baby wants to stay in the womb

We thought he/she was going to make they're appearance the night they were due, but decided to stop and wait.  So now we are 3 days past and still no baby.  My daughter is so uncomfortable, the baby is sitting in position ready to go.  A midwife appointment tomorrow. I hope that something can be done to encourage WOI as Sheena and Mat are calling the baby until it's born and they know whether it is Wendell or Irene.  All this sitting around is driving me a little batty.

Promises, Promises .......

Promises, seems that is all I am doing for this blog.  The SAD is becoming depression or has become.  I make it to work and home, feed the hooligans and myself then sit and watch the evil TV.  If it wasn't for Tag Tuesday at the local scrapbook store and the chiropractic appointments that I take my Mom to, I wouldn't go any where.
So here is my thoughts, I am afraid to look at last years goals for the year, I am pretty sure I accomplished few.  I NEED to pull myself out of this rut before it becomes a deep dark hole.  There is no reason, there never is a reason for depression.  I should be happy, there will be a new family member early next year, our first grandbaby.  Then I think they are so far away, and I get feeling down again about missing so many things that will happen in the first few years of the baby's life.  I worry because I am not there for my daughter.  I will be out in Ottawa when the baby is born and a few week to help.  Small house lots of people not sure how that will work out.

There is a new gym opening in the building where I work.  I am trying to decide whether to join or not. It's about $40 per month twice what I was paying at the last place - mind you we got into an awesome deal there, but didn't use it enough to continue the membership.  Now that getting home right after work is not an issue, I could work out for an hour or take a fitness class.  I don't know what to do.

Even my card making has been non existent, I have Christmas cards to get out to the wonderful ladies on the Ragdoll Forum, some of these have to make it across the world.  Goal to have them in the mail Monday at latest.
So here are a few pictures from the summer and fall - at least I will full fill part of the promise to put pictures up here
My husband and I walking Sheena down the "aisle"

Matt and Sheena

Those are the only ones I have in photobucket, I'll add more a little later

Have I even posted MonAimee and Mani Rune pictures?  They are almost 7 months old now and Mani Rune or Rune for short is huge.

Here is Freya, Freyr and Rune waiting at the door while I was outside taking pictures

you can see that Rune on the right is almost as big as Freya on the left

and of course my snuggle bum MonAimee

That is all I have at the moment but I do have more and must practice what I did learn at my photography class.
Don't forget to leave a comment I do read them, even if I don't answer back, I do try.

A Quick post

Little busy at work.  Sheena and Matt will be here on Friday, yikes I still have lots to do. Grocery shopping tonight, some days I wish I had a cook.
Got some updated pictures of my new Ragdoll boy, who is still nameless and referred to as little Blaze.  He is nine weeks now so he will be ready to come home just after Sheena and Matt leave.  He is a blue mitted with a tiny blaze.

If you have name suggestions please leave a comment.  I don't know if we are going with the Norse god theme or just an F name (hmm that doesn't sound right lol) or let him tell me his name once he is here.

So I didn't post on the weekend - oops

Not sure where the time went, wasted on FB maybe. Anyway hubby's dear niece had her baby on Saturday. A baby boy James Joseph.  It was my Mom's 86 birthday, Sheena's godmothers's grandsons 2nd birthday, a bit of a busy day.  Made a nice card for my Mom, Saturday morning.  Cleaned up the kitchen (if you saw it this morning you would never know).  Sunday, I did laundry, thankfully it was beautiful sunny day, so I could hang them outside. Cut the grass again, but since I slept, in it was too hot to pull the grass in the flower beds.  I did make sure there was NO standing water in the yard, those pesky mosquitoes are some nasty this year.  Did some prep work for meals, no menu planned but still a work in progress.  Cleaned the one pantry. Won't get much done tonight as I am hopefully going to see the kittens. Maybe I'll get to pick which will be mine.

April Already

I was a little hit and miss on blogging last month. I did get a couple cards done, and the mock up of the wedding invitations. The kids have gotten it, but Matt is in the middle of exams and not feeling well. Will post pictures of those when I am home. Scrapbookers Paradise are having what they call tag Tuesdays now. I am going to learn about making tags Tim Holtz style.

This is the card I made for Sheena's birthday tomorrow (hmm she never did tell me if she liked it).
This was a Twoonie Thursday at Scrapbookers Paradise
we used Spellbinders metal over eco board and alcohol inks.
This is one I did a while ago for Chinese New Year for my son's girl friend, my take on a red envelope. Flourishes cherry blossom stamp, SU markers, diamond glaze on the flowers and Spellbinders die. I am not sure which embossing folder.  I will get my room organized enough to have notes taken when making soon. Once again these are from my iphone, I hope the new iphone 5 when it comes has that antishake thing on the camera lol.

Oops, and waiting game

Well I got 40 save the dates done, the way I like them, they turned out awesome.  I will post picture later, actually have to take a couple on a real camera not the iphone lol.
When I did up the template, I messed up the measurement for the bottom or 3rd on the page.  I ended up with on 2 per page.  I also didn't like the way the plain cardstock, even with pearl mist turned out.  The post office said those would also have to be attached to another piece of cardstock to make through the mail.  I finally ordered some more of the metallic cardstock  (worldwin papers, elan_metallics.) it's the champagne colour. So now waiting on the the card stock, and the address labels DD was suppose to get to me.  I have the guest list, I love Google Docs lol. I think I will do up some labels at work for those that don't have facebook.  Those on facebook have been invited to the "Save the Date" Event, now weather they know how to view and accept it is another story.
I have an awesome picture of Freya helping with the Save the Date cards, but I can't seem to save it off my phone. Okay I think I have solved the problem, downloaded an app for that lol.

So here is Freya helping out. You can see a couple finished Save the Dates in front of her.

Here a picture of the Save the Date, I promise I will post better ones, but you get the idea. They went with the old library index cards as Matt is finishing taking his librarian technician  or something like that degree.

And a picture of the happy couple, just after he asked her to marry him.

Save the Dates are ready for printing and distressing

Finally got the layout done, I can fit 3 to a page. Printed out 33 and then tried the shiny cardstock and liked it a lot more. So I guess I am off to Scrapbooker's Paradise at lunch to get more of the shiny cardstock.  I'll see what the kids say about what to do with the non-shiny save the dates.
I will finish printing before leaving work today and then work on the cutting and distressing on the weekend.
The kids also got their Wedding website marked with place holders mattandsheena
They have the venue booked. So after this month we can breath for a little bit. I can play with some ideas for the actual invitations. RSVP etc.
I'll try to post a finished Save the Date later this weekend.

I am going to be Mother of the Bride

Yep our trip to Ottawa was eventful.  Met Daughters boyfriend, very nice person. Spent some time with the nieces. Did a tour of the Mint. Sunday was the Imbolc party, at which Matt purposed to Sheena. Nether one of them can keep a secret, before that we were talking about this event. lol. Any way the date is September 3, 2011, yep that is this September. They are working on the guest list and a proto type of the save the date card. Since Matt is finishing up  school for library technician, we are doing a library reference card.  They will have to be out the end of this month.
This also means I had better step up my get healthy plans. Well off to catch up the emails and google reader, laundry for work tomorrow.

Almost the end of the Month :0

Oh what happened to this month, oh yeah, I spent it being too lazy.  I wonder if I can get DS birthday card done before I head to Ottawa tomorrow. I have an idea it is just getting the supplies together. He will be back in Calgary when we get back.
I did raid my stash for a couple of other cards.
I did not get the baby card done, oops, baby is now over a month old.
I have been hit and miss on the exercise too.
February is a new month; try again lol
I am excited to see my darling daughter, we might have a surprise this weekend, not telling, but will post if things happen.
I will be glad to meet the "love of her life"
I will also get to see hubby's nieces, these girls lived with me for awhile so they feel like my daughters from another mother.  The oldest is two days older then DD and she is expecting her first baby in June.
Looks like this will be another busy year with babies and weddings.

Short Update

Busy, busy, it's what happens when you work for accountants and it'd the end of April. Freya spend all of last week being held hostage by the vet. The assistants, I think wanted to keep her. She is now home once again, still has the cone of shame on and in the cat "tent" quarantined. The little devil did jump twice so far this weekend. I do pray to the spirits that she doesn't injure herself again.
This week will be the family meeting with the doctors and caregivers at the Carewest to see what the future will be for my Mom. My brother will be here as well as my sister who just lives a few hours away. Not sure what they will suggest. We kids are honestly hoping that she must go into assisted living, as that will be the only way we will get her to go voluntarily.

On a note of good news DS is very close to owning his first home and I can't wait. The space I will have in my small townhouse. Although DD is moving back from Ottawa to finish her degree. I am not sure how much of her stuff she will bring back with her or how she is getting back.
