Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve day and all is quiet. Saturday morning we watched on FaceTime Irene open her Yule gifts. Missing her and my daughter ver much.

Seems to happen every year. Hoping this just 48 hour bug.
I have cards to share. We had our annual Christmas lunch at work on Tuesday at The Ranche. Lovely place.

Finally made a card!!!!

Bosses, cake day today, so I am the office card maker. It felt good to get inky.
Here is the card.
I used tinfoil, embossed with Tim Holt's embossing folder Postcards
Then used alcohol Nikon the tin foil
I had a trading card size paper which I distressed inked with broken china and persimmon. Not sure who's stamp I used, think it was a Prima, used Tim Holt's sentiment from his ticket set and finished it off with pearl mist heirloom.

I want to make a few of these for the Hooligans.  Finding fleece that isn't unreasonably priced is a bit of a pain.  I am sure they will love them

So I haven't been paper crafting much lately, but have been digital scrap booking. Mostly trying out the different apps for the iPad. Not sure how the will display. The pictures are of Irene of course. There is one picture of Merlot.

Yeah I know, I am letting life get me down.  Irene and Sheena are home and on with their lives.  I miss them so much. Little Irene is walking around on furniture already.  She is just passed 7 months.  Learning something new everyday.  She can wave now, so sweet to see her eyes lite up when she see me on the computer.  Have to figure out a way to see her at Christmas.  I am hoping to make her a first Christmas/Yule ornament, but heck I haven't even done the T-shirts for her.  I have tons of cut files and the heat transfer vinyl ready to go - just no ambition.

Irene and Eddy 6 month picture and she has grown since then.

I ended up with a nasty cold in September, then aspirated on some juice, which has had me with lungs that don't hold as much air as they should.  Sure makes a person tired not being able to breath.

We did add to the Raggie family again.  Not sure if I mentioned before how I was in love with Flame Ragdolls, so beautiful.  Then in May my breeder had a tortie and a mitt Flame in a litter.  I wanted another girls (noticed the "want"  )  Hubby was not on board for getting another kitty.  I asked around and it seems that female Flames or Cremes are rare, so I pretty much gave up. This red kitten at my breeders was just not having luck getting placed.  I talked to hubby about him again in September, he said NO.  On one of his weekends home, I showed him some pictures of the fellow (he is not little) and still the answer was No.  By this time at least 3 homes had fallen through for some reason or another.  Hubby phones me once he is back at work and asks "is the fellow still available?"  I am thinking he thought he would be spoken for lol. Nope and now that fellow is at my house, still without a name but he is mine.

This is a picture the breeder took a couple of weeks ago, just before he came home.  Little stinker is a typical kitten and hard to get him to hold still long enough to take a good picture. lol  Good size boy 4.5 months and 8lbs.

Best one I have of him home at the moment, taken with my iPad so the quality is not the best.

Current - just before the new one arrived of the Hooligans - notice the open spot for the new fellow.

Introductions are coming along.  Katie and MonAime are throwing hissy and growling fits, the rest are pretty nonchalant about it.  Have to watch Freyr that he doesn't smother him with love lol or try to dominant him.    Although I am pretty sure he can hold his own.  Pretty secure with himself.





Not making any promises of posting more often, but I can always try.  I do have a few card pictures to upload. Next week maybe ........

Things starting to go back to Normal

What ever normal is:

Spent time getting things ready for Sheena and Irene's visit.
June and July - enjoyed the visit and miss them terribly
now comes the reorganization of rooms, pictures and hopefully some album and cardmaking done.
So many babies this year - On my side we welcomed Declan and on hubby's side Khaleesi, and another boy will be born in November.

No new kittens for me, at least not for a while - hubby is just starting another new job, see how he likes this one. He also thinks we have enough, well I guess 5 cats is really enough, but I would so love a Flame Ragdoll.  You never know what can happen. I am trying to change my way of thinking

I like reading the mags on my iPad - not so much the set up for the computer.  I believe you can also use the app on the kindle and smart phones as well.

Hopefully back to some regular blogging soon.  I need to post all about little miss Irene's visit to Gandma and Grandpa.  Sure do miss that little girls smiles

Talk about Neglected - I even left you hanging about the baby

Well I should be chastised thoroughly.  Left you all hanging on February 20.  Irene Bhride arrived in all her glory on March 2, 2012 just hours before her Mom was scheduled to go into the hospital for an induction.  My daughter was able to birth her at home, the midwife arrived just in time.  It was a fast and beautiful birth. All went very well, with the exception of Irene having a broken collar bone, which resulted with us taking her to the children's hospital for x-rays just to be safe.
She weighed 8.1 and was I think 56 cm long.

I ended up being a month away from home, but only got to spend a week with Irene and my daughter.
I miss her so much, it is hard to be so far away, thank the gods for Skype and smart phones

she is weighing 12.5 lbs and 63cm long.
She is such a good baby.  Irene and her Mom will be here for a month starting June 21, I am counting the days.

Waiting and Waiting - little stinker of grand baby wants to stay in the womb

We thought he/she was going to make they're appearance the night they were due, but decided to stop and wait.  So now we are 3 days past and still no baby.  My daughter is so uncomfortable, the baby is sitting in position ready to go.  A midwife appointment tomorrow. I hope that something can be done to encourage WOI as Sheena and Mat are calling the baby until it's born and they know whether it is Wendell or Irene.  All this sitting around is driving me a little batty.
