Seems to happen every year. Hoping this just 48 hour bug.

So I didn't post on the weekend - oops

Not sure where the time went, wasted on FB maybe. Anyway hubby's dear niece had her baby on Saturday. A baby boy James Joseph.  It was my Mom's 86 birthday, Sheena's godmothers's grandsons 2nd birthday, a bit of a busy day.  Made a nice card for my Mom, Saturday morning.  Cleaned up the kitchen (if you saw it this morning you would never know).  Sunday, I did laundry, thankfully it was beautiful sunny day, so I could hang them outside. Cut the grass again, but since I slept, in it was too hot to pull the grass in the flower beds.  I did make sure there was NO standing water in the yard, those pesky mosquitoes are some nasty this year.  Did some prep work for meals, no menu planned but still a work in progress.  Cleaned the one pantry. Won't get much done tonight as I am hopefully going to see the kittens. Maybe I'll get to pick which will be mine.

Life Update

Really nothing much going on.  Just life as I know it.
Still working on the wedding invitations lots still to do, mostly cutting the library pockets and the library card RSVP.  They are going to look awesome if I say so myself. (reminder to self take pictures of the process).
Spent Mother's Day at the emergency vet with the Eskie MacLeod, he fell from our bed and injured his left from leg.  Soft tissue injury with out taking x-rays was the diagnoses.  His liver or kidney enzymes were elevated so no anti inflammatories, just pain killers, so the poor boy is doped up on opiates.  Mother's Day supper was at Swiss Chalet with my Mom, hubby, our son and gf, my sister, her son and DIL along with her Mom and Grandma. It was a wonder evening out.  Sure beat the heck out of cooking.
DH got my a Kobo, I might have mention that before, not that I seem to have time to read lol.

Hubby still is not working, everyone keeps saying soon. ACK!!!! Wish he know have to cut on the Silhouette lol.
Had a card class last night, I'll post pictures later. Made my Mom a wonderful, no time to take a picture (good thing she keeps them).
Tag Tuesday today at Scrapbookers Paradise, then home to do some cutting of library pockets.

Update coming soon

Neglecting the blog this month and last. Sheep breeding in Farmville on Facebook can be blamed. The newest of that has worn off, so hopefully back to getting things done lol.  Took a bunch of pictures of the cats and dog yesterday, will find time to watermark and up load soon. Back to sorting the tax papers, then house work.  Hubby is back home this week.  On the 20th is his 50th birthday and I have to get a card made.

April Already

I was a little hit and miss on blogging last month. I did get a couple cards done, and the mock up of the wedding invitations. The kids have gotten it, but Matt is in the middle of exams and not feeling well. Will post pictures of those when I am home. Scrapbookers Paradise are having what they call tag Tuesdays now. I am going to learn about making tags Tim Holtz style.

This is the card I made for Sheena's birthday tomorrow (hmm she never did tell me if she liked it).
This was a Twoonie Thursday at Scrapbookers Paradise
we used Spellbinders metal over eco board and alcohol inks.
This is one I did a while ago for Chinese New Year for my son's girl friend, my take on a red envelope. Flourishes cherry blossom stamp, SU markers, diamond glaze on the flowers and Spellbinders die. I am not sure which embossing folder.  I will get my room organized enough to have notes taken when making soon. Once again these are from my iphone, I hope the new iphone 5 when it comes has that antishake thing on the camera lol.

Save the Dates are ready for printing and distressing

Finally got the layout done, I can fit 3 to a page. Printed out 33 and then tried the shiny cardstock and liked it a lot more. So I guess I am off to Scrapbooker's Paradise at lunch to get more of the shiny cardstock.  I'll see what the kids say about what to do with the non-shiny save the dates.
I will finish printing before leaving work today and then work on the cutting and distressing on the weekend.
The kids also got their Wedding website marked with place holders mattandsheena
They have the venue booked. So after this month we can breath for a little bit. I can play with some ideas for the actual invitations. RSVP etc.
I'll try to post a finished Save the Date later this weekend.

Almost the end of the Month :0

Oh what happened to this month, oh yeah, I spent it being too lazy.  I wonder if I can get DS birthday card done before I head to Ottawa tomorrow. I have an idea it is just getting the supplies together. He will be back in Calgary when we get back.
I did raid my stash for a couple of other cards.
I did not get the baby card done, oops, baby is now over a month old.
I have been hit and miss on the exercise too.
February is a new month; try again lol
I am excited to see my darling daughter, we might have a surprise this weekend, not telling, but will post if things happen.
I will be glad to meet the "love of her life"
I will also get to see hubby's nieces, these girls lived with me for awhile so they feel like my daughters from another mother.  The oldest is two days older then DD and she is expecting her first baby in June.
Looks like this will be another busy year with babies and weddings.

Still Playing with the Blog Design

What a lazy weekend, I think I got some laundry done.  Wind and blowing snow, just stayed indoors, got up on Dr Who,  play on FB and messed some more with the blog design.  What do you think?  It needs more work, I still want back ground pictures and some of the widgets need either to go or be adjusted on size (don't know how to do that).  I should have clean the craft/office room (bad me). Oh and start on those wants for the New Year.  I think that I will have to limit computer time as well as TV time.

Treadmill is being moved downstairs today. Finally it will be set up and usable.  Tonight starts my exercise program.  I am going to see if my son will set the Wii up down there as well.  All the exercise equipment is down there, I just hope I can keep it warm enough - oh yeah exercise should keep me warm lol.

Hubby will be watching football tonight, so maybe I can at least start the craft/office.  Then slowly make a dent in my long to do list, including a baby card.

More Cards done

Got quite a few cards done last night.  I have only a few more to make, like my Mom's and sons and a couple of neighbours.  One of our neighbours just had a baby last night as well, so I will have to get a baby card done as well.

Again I am at work and I never remember what I used
Supplies
Graphic 45 Christmas Past
BO Bunny Midnight Frost (I think)
SU cardstock Hunter Green (could be wrong), Cherry Cobbler and Brocade Blue?

Digital images from  Clearly Vintage
other papers were Die Cuts with a View Christmas.
Big Kick and Sizzex Die and embossing folder

This one is for one of my co-workers
Another one of my co-workers received this one

I am the only one who visits my blog! huh

Just lost a whole post crap

I added one of those live feed trackers to this blog.  It seems I am the only one on it. I do have a couple of followers, oh well I am not that interesting anyway right?

On another topic
I finally got some Christmas cards made 12 to be exact. 3 have been sent out.  Once again I took the photos with the iphone. I am making a resolution to take better pictures in the New Year okay!

This is the mass produced made 8 of these. Stampin up retired papers I think (not at home, I will try to edit and put info in later).  The designer paper is the Bo Bunny Frost (love it) The Stamp is Stampin Up as well
Again Stampin up cardstock and Graphic 45 Christmas (love this paper too).  The stamp is Stampin Up

This one the sentiment is one of the Flourishes

This beauty  is mostly digitals and Stampin Up sentiment.  I believe the the graphic comes from Graphic Fairy and Free Vintage clip art.  I will try to learn to post links okay.

It is COLD here I mean freaking COLD!

On the radio one station said they read on twitter that we were number 2 just under Antarctica for the coldest place on earth. No wonder I want to hibernate.
So tomorrow I get to meet one of my internet friends and her daughter.  They are flying into Calgary to go to her son's wedding in a place called Coaldale (I may have the spelt wrong).  They are coming from Georgia, am I am afraid they are going to have a big climate shock.  We met on a website for weight loss (not that I am losing any) in a group called "I hate exercise"
Sparkpeople

I did get a card made for my bosses birthday, once again I don't have a clue what I used to make the card. Some stuff from scraps and some from Stampin Up and my favourite Flourishes stamp  A Guiding Light. That tall ship is perfect for most of the men in my life.
I know I stamped it with memento brown and used some distress stickels on the flag and water.  I had wanted to bronze emboss it, but couldn't find my heat gun or the correct acrylic block either.  My co-workers thought it was wonderful, so I guess that is all that matters.

Lucy has a new home or will have soon

Been awhile since I have posted, either been busy or just plain old lazy and tired from being busy.
I have found Lucy an new home.  She will be going on a long trip, which I hope she will do fine on.  I will be taking her to Great Falls Montana this weekend and passing her to her new "Mom", and they are taking her all the way to Omaha Nebraska.  So she goes from an Canadian Ragdoll to an American Ragdoll. Almost a movie or a song title there lol.  I think she will be well loved and an only kitty.  The emails back and forth have been very positive and the new mom has had a Ragdoll before.
Then once I get back on Sunday, I only have a week to get ready for my trip to Cape Breton for my lovely niece's wedding.  My stay has been extended as DH was able to get some time off, but five days after I arrive and 5 days after I leave. Now I will be there 15 days.  I am still hoping to get some thank you cards and a couple of baby congrats cards made in the mean time.  I did make one for my daughter, she had to put her 16 year old cat down the Friday before last.  I finally made a thank you card for the vets office from Freya.

It's a little blurry, used my iphone and sometimes I shake just a little too much.  I'll post the other once I have it off my camera.

And it keeps getting better

Freyr and Freya had their spay and neturing last Friday. Poor Freya, she did too much and ended up with bruising. Poor baby. Her brother Freyr is none to happy about not being able to play with her and being kept from the bed at night. He out weighs her by quite a bit so it is necessary.
Trying to get all the papers together for taxes, what a pain. Every year I say I will be better prepared but I am so far behind this year and can't find some papers.

I did get my daughters card made and sent to her on time for her birthday. The pictures I took don't do it justice it looked much nicer in person

I don't know how to move the pictures to where I want them. I find blogger a bit frustrating to use. Any suggestions are welcome

Interesting Month, Rather Glad it is Almost Over

For a short month, this has been a long month. Good news the smell is out of the couch, the other cats have even slept on that cushion. FYI I use Urine Off http://www.urineoff.com/, awesome product. We are also implementing a product called Feliway http://www.feliway.com/gb which is a cat pheromone. I got it from my vet but I see that Petsmart carries it as well. Lucy still is in "her" room most of the time, but I can leave the door open and the kittens run in and out. She will venture out of the room and come to the kitchen. I have ordered more of the Feliway and will put it in the living room or my bedroom and hopefully start to leave her door open all night. I am still leery of her marking, but have more of the Urine Off .

On February 6, a bunch of us girls got together and had a Stampin Up party. We made 5 cards each. A few of the girls had never done stamps or cards. It was a blast. I must say, that these cards and the things I have made at the Bigshot club have been the only things I have made this month. March will be better! I hope to have the room for cardmaking and stamping set up and make at least one a week. I had ordered the card a month (or something like that) from Annie's Attic, but the shipping here to Canada was almost as much as the kit, so I cancelled it. I do have two kits to make.

Last weekend my debit card was comprised, so this week was the added hassle of getting a new card and new pin number. At least my money was returned to my account very fast. I was impressed with my banks handling of the situation. My vet was very nice about it as well. NO he was not involved, but I had the Freyr and Freya's last set of kitten shots the day after the money was taken ( I was down to my last dollars) I will have to go in and pay him next week, when I pick up the Feliway.
